Mensa Brands

House of brands

A house of brands acquiring and scaling Indian fashion, beauty and home labels.

Mensa Brands, founded in 2021 by Ananth Narayanan, acquires promising Indian consumer brands and scales them with shared technology, sourcing and performance marketing.

History

The thesis is that India is still largely an unbranded market and that brands can now be built far more capital-efficiently than the Unilever and P&G playbook allowed. Mensa operates across fashion, beauty and home — categories chosen for their gross margins of roughly 55–80%.

Today

The group runs around 20 brands, including the peanut butter brand My Fitness, and reached EBITDA-positive operations.
