Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 13, 2026

This notice explains, in plain language, what personal data Build in India collects during the pre-launch phase, why, and the rights you have, consistent with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and general good practice.

Who we are

Build in India (buildinindia.org) is currently a pre-launch initiative building a founder network for India. For any privacy request, contact: hello@buildinindia.org.

What we collect, and why

Waitlist signups: your name and email address. We use these solely to manage the waitlist and send you the founder stories, monthly memo and launch updates you signed up for.

Our email list is processed by Loops (Astrodon, Inc.), our email service provider, acting on our instructions.

This website sets no advertising or analytics cookies and does not track you across sites.

Consent & withdrawal

We process your data based on your explicit consent (the checkbox at signup). Every email contains an unsubscribe link, and you may withdraw consent at any time by emailing hello@buildinindia.org. We will then delete your entry without undue delay.

Storage & sharing

Waitlist data is stored with our email service provider and is not sold, rented, or shared with third parties for their own purposes.

We retain your data until launch onboarding or your withdrawal, whichever comes first.

Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you can nominate a person to exercise your rights on your behalf, as provided by the DPDP Act. Write to hello@buildinindia.org. We respond within a reasonable time and without charge.

If you are not satisfied with our response, the DPDP Act provides for complaints to the Data Protection Board of India.
