India ships product, mints unicorns, and builds for the world. But the people doing it are scattered across group chats, cold DMs, and closed rooms. Build in India is our answer: a founder network built the way an honest network should be built, in the open, starting with the people instead of the product.
Season 1: one hundred conversations
Before profiles, feeds, or a launchpad, we are sitting down with 100 founders, operators, and student builders across India and asking the same real questions every time. What are you building? What is the most expensive problem in your business right now? What did you need in the last twelve months that you could not find?
The answers add up to something the whole ecosystem can use: a monthly memo about what is actually working, written from primary sources instead of recycled hot takes.
Why in the open
- Trust compounds. Every public interview and every honest update is proof of work that no marketing budget can buy.
- Feedback arrives early, while it is still cheap to act on.
- The people we build for shape what gets built. The roadmap follows the interviews, not the other way around.
What we refuse to do
No invented member counts. No stock-photo founders. No countdown timers that reset at midnight. No roadmap dates we cannot keep. The pre-launch playbook is full of tricks that buy a spike of signups and quietly poison the brand. A network is trust at scale, so trust is the one asset we refuse to mortgage.
Where this goes
The order is deliberate: stories first, trust second, tools third. Founder stories go public, then verified profiles, the podcast, and the State of Building in India report, then the launchpad, jobs, and warm paths to capital. Waitlist members unlock every phase first. That is not a marketing line. It is the mechanism the whole thing runs on: the earliest people shape the network, and the network rewards them for it.
If you are building in India, or backing the people who do, this is your invitation to watch it happen and to be part of it early.
